André Pelletier holds a diploma from l 'École des beaux-arts de Québec. As a painter, he presented many solo exhibitions and participated to numerous collective ones in cities such as Quebec, Montreal, Toronto and Paris. His works are part of both private and public collections (Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec). For 34 years he worked as an art teacher. André Pelletier is now an active member of l'Association des beaux-arts de Québec and is in charge of the exhibitions.

Having now developed a keen interest in photography, he enjoys discovering new facets of his surroundings through the lens of his camera. The latter helps him uncover another side of reality that escapes most people. He observes, analyses and sees visual elements that attract his interest and awaken his imagination. Urban abstraction is what draws his attention on either marks, imprints or graffiti. He finds the visual aspects of climatic and temporal effects fascinating and those aspects can be translated in image by shapes, textures and unique tints. He sees, seizes and plays with light and shadow, gradations of colour as well as reflections of any sort.
